Interview Coaching

Whether you are a graduate embarking on your first round of interviews or someone with more experience, an interview coaching session will help you to focus clearly on the upcoming event.

Interview candidates tend to fall into two categories; those who talk freely and those who are better listeners than talkers. However those of us who are very good at talking may not always answer the questions convincingly. Whereas people who prefer to listen more than talk, they are challenged to elaborate more. So it’s really about getting the balance right.

Essentially a good interview depends on preparation....and this involves:

  • Identifying in advance what the interviewer needs to know about you
  • Identifying and providing the best examples of your skills and experience
  • Communicating clearly and succinctly what you have done in the past

  • We will work together to identify what the interviewer needs to find out about you. That means, what experience, competencies and skills are important for success in the job.

  • We will 'tease out' what evidence you have to convince the interviewer you are the right person
  • We will practice how to answer interview questions
  • You will receive constructive feedback

  • You will also take away material on standard interview questions and how to answer them as well as interview preparation guidance notes.
